What does a typical ABA session look like at CELECTS Education, LLC?

At CELECTS Education, every ABA session is structured, engaging, and tailored to each child's individual goals. While every child's program is unique, most sessions follow a similar supportive routine designed to help children feel comfortable, motivated, and ready to learn.

Warm Welcome & Transition:

Sessions begin with a warm greeting and a smooth transition into the therapy space. This helps children settle in, review their schedule, and get comfortable with the therapist.

Skill Building Activities:

During the session, therapists work on individualized goals created by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). These goals may include communication, social skills, daily living skills, or behavior regulation.

Learning happens through a mix of:

  • play-based learning

  • structured teaching activities

  • interactive games

  • real-life practice opportunities

Positive Reinforcement:

Therapists use encouragement and positive reinforcement to celebrate successes and motivate children to keep learning. Reinforcers may include praise, preferred toys, activities, or small rewards that are meaningful to the child.

Breaks and Regulation Support:

Children are given scheduled breaks and sensory supports when needed. This helps maintain focus and teaches children health ways to regulate their emotions and energy levels.

Social & Practical Skills:

Many sessions include opportunities to practice social interaction, communication, and everyday life skills such as taking turns, following routines, or asking for help.

 Data Collection & Progress Monitoring:

Throughout the session, therapists collect data on the child's progress. This information helps the BCBA monitor growth and adjust goals as needed to ensure the child continues making meaningful progress.

Parent Communication:

At the end of the session, families may receive updates about their child's progress, successes, and strategies that can be used at home to support continued learning.
